We, at J. B. Blevins Violin Shop, are here to support the community in the area of music by providing quality work and repairs, so that the musicians can continue to play their instruments and provide the public with the quality of sound needed for enjoyable music. When you visit our shop you will receive a full examination of your instrument by the shop owner, himself. Our prices are reasonable and our craftsmanship is of the highest quality. Working with the violin is a labor of love. Our reward is your 100% satisfaction.

Bow Re-hair: We use only the best Mongolian horse hair that money can buy. Come in and receive your bi-annual bow re-hair by an experienced luthier. I have studied with some of the best in the art of bow re-hair and have combined my learning to provide you with professional results. This is one bow re-hair that came into our shop.

Restoration: I am an experienced restorer. I treat our customers instruments as if they were my own, because I know how important instruments are to their owners. (my own violin is in the shop periodically for tune ups).Here is a list of some of the work that I have done.

If you are a casual player desiring something easy and comfortable to play or if you are a professional who needs a setup that meets your demanding style, level of performance and technical needs, we are here for you.

String Trial: Come in and test different brands of strings to see which set best fits your instrument and style (trial is free with an immediate purchase of a new set of strings of your choosing).
